Disenchantment do come
it do come swift
threaten to drown
to smother
threaten to gut you
make innards spill
blood and muck
down to your feet

I know it
disenchantment
It come
without warning
without so much as a 'Watch Out'
It swing
high and low
it knock
down
everything
all the things you have so neatly built
with your own
