When you wake up on the wrong side of bed
and you are angry at GOD
and Jesus try to cheer you up
     try to put spring in your step
And you say,
"No, let me wallow here."

You sit
and try to think
hard
     of what exactly has got you here
How you paddled
to this place

It is not the weather
It is not the traffic
It is not the cacophony
     of generators
rumbling through the night
It is not the government

It is not your job
It is not your lover
It is your inability
     to count your blessings
Name them one
