Lessons.

Things I learnt this year include:

How to be more merciful
   How to lick my wounds and move on swiftly

That it is not every comment I must respond to
   That people are capable of the utmost levels of foolishness
       That I myself can be foolish
           That I am not perfect

But, goodness, am I worth the trouble.
